Barestone®
The natural beauty of concrete and the durability of fibre cement come together perfectly in Barestone Cladding. This precise concrete style is ideal for modern and industrial building designs.
Barestone Cladding features a blend of greys. The dark valleys of the modern express joints contrast with these lighter colours, accentuating the geometric shapes formed by the joints and enhancing the overall aesthetic. This creates striking facades and dynamic internal feature walls.
Express joints create clean lines and dynamic facades, achieved by the consistent 10mm gap surrounding each square-edged panel. Designers have flexibility to be creative with their arrangements. Panels can be oriented vertically or horizontally, and arranged in various geometric patterns including Linear, Staggered, Grid, Half Bond (brick style), Skirt Panel, Asymmetrical, or Random layouts.
The warm tones and light greys of Barestone complement other building materials well, especially warm timber features like Territory Woodlands Teak and Cedar Cladding. There are three Barestone cladding products: two exterior options finished with Ceminseal water-blocking technology, and one interior product with an effective stain-resistant coating.
Barestone cladding is produced to strict quality standards. However, like natural timber and stone, each Barestone panel is unique in colour and patterning. Variations in colour, and occasional white or black mineral deposits, are part of Barestone’s distinctive character and not considered defects.

Installation
External Installation
There are two cladding systems for external use, tailored for commercial buildings and detached homes:
Commercial Buildings: Employ the versatile Commercial ExpressWall® top hat fixing system, which creates a Pressure Equalized Ventilated Cavity System. This method enhances weather resistance and moisture management.
Detached Homes: Use the conventional, cost-effective practice of fixing panels to timber battens.
Internal Installation
For internal applications, Barestone panels can be fixed to a range of substrates, including timber, non-structural light gauge steel framing, masonry, and concrete, using two methods:
Concealed Fixing: Adhesive products are used for installation onto timber or steel studs.
Exposed Fasteners: Exposed head screws or Barestone rivets can be used on steel studs.
Barestone Original is CodeMark Certified CM20198, making it suitable for use where non-combustible materials are required according to NCC2022 Clause C2D10 (6)(d) [NCC2019: C1.9 (e)(iv)].
The Barestone wall system can achieve a Bushfire Attack Level of up to BAL-40 when installed in accordance with Australian Standard AS3959 and Cemintel’s design and installation guides.
