Surround® Secondary Palette
Cemintel® Surround™ Secondary Palette offers a bold selection of 16 wall cladding panels that complement the five "ISH" colours, each with its own range of textures.
Crafted from “colour-bodied” fibre cement, Surround cladding features a rich, deep matte finish achieved through the addition of pigments during manufacturing. Unlike other exterior cladding materials, products in the Surround Secondary Palette are not painted but prefinished with a durable UV protective coating for minimal maintenance and lasting aesthetics.
This extensive range of cladding colours provides architects and design-build professionals with exceptional design flexibility.
Neutral colours, when paired with vibrant hues, can make the latter appear more striking. The human eye is drawn to high-intensity colours, so using too many saturated shades can overwhelm the viewer.
Here are two approaches to designing facades with cladding colours:
1. Select a neutral colour, such as Surround Greyish, for the majority of the façade, and add a pop of vibrant colour. This can be integrated through creative geometric panel layouts or used to highlight distinctive design features.
2. Use a neutral cladding colour as a subtle backdrop and apply a vibrant colour scheme to repetitive architectural features, such as balconies. This technique is effective for educational facilities, symbolising creativity and learning.
The panels are suitable for both external facades and internal linings, though installation methods may vary.

Installation
External Wall Installation
Surround Cladding can be installed in various configurations using the ExpressWall top hat fixing system. This system is compatible with steel or timber stud framing, masonry, or concrete. Panels are secured with express joints using Surround colour-matched rivets. The design incorporates a Pressure Equalised Ventilated Cavity System, which enhances weather performance and moisture management.
Interior Wall Installation
Surround panels are also ideal for internal feature walls in dry areas. They can be fixed to timber or non-structural light gauge steel framing, as well as masonry, concrete, or autoclaved aerated concrete substrates via timber or MDF battens or metal furring channels. Concealed fixing is achieved using SIKA adhesive products. For steel framing, colour-matched rivets can be used for a seamless finish.
