Mosaic® Cladding
Mosaic is an architectural cladding style featuring numerous pieces arranged in precise geometric patterns. Traditionally used in retail and office buildings and often considered too costly for residential construction, Mosaic cladding now benefits from a more cost-effective system.
The Cemintel® Mosaic panels are 8mm thick with square edges and are slightly smaller than conventional panel sizes, allowing for a 10mm expressed joint around each panel. This creates a sleek, modern look with clean lines.
The style is distinctly modern, emphasising minimalism with a focus on roof lines, window styles, and the geometric arrangement of cladding panels.
Mosaic cladding is more than just panels; it requires a cavity cladding system, which includes vertical cavity battens and horizontal backing strips for proper installation.

Product Technical Information
Mosaic® has a modern, geometric express joint aesthetic, making it the ideal façade for the modern home.
Disclaimer: Product images and samples may vary from actual product regarding colour and surface finish due to the manufacturing process and raw materials used.

Product Information
Mosaic panels measure 1190 x 2990 x 8 mm, with a 2.5:1 ratio, and can be cut to various sizes to achieve different design effects.
The precise layout of Mosaic panels enhances the quality of construction and design, making them ideal for creating striking visual impacts. The range of panel sizes encourages designers to explore playful geometric arrangements, such as:
Stack Bond Patterns: A grid pattern using square or rectangular panels arranged either vertically or horizontally.
Stretcher Bond Patterns: An alternating brick wall-like pattern that can be arranged vertically, horizontally, or diagonally.
Custom Patterns: Combine different panel sizes or cut panels to create unique, alternating, and asymmetrical designs.
Mosaic cladding is suitable for modern designer homes or as a contemporary addition to heritage properties. While wrapping an entire house in Mosaic cladding can be visually overwhelming, it works best as a feature wall, element, or facade treatment.

Installation
Mosaic cladding is not pre-finished; it requires site painting, allowing designers to choose from a broad range of exterior paint colours. Metallic finishes can even mimic the look of high-end express joint metal cladding.
For cost-effective application in detached homes, Mosaic uses fibre cement battens instead of the metal top hats found in commercial systems like Surround Cladding. Vertical express joints are achieved with fibre cement cavity battens, while horizontal express joints are created with ExpressWall® Backing Strips.
As a fibre cement product, Mosaic cladding is deemed suitable for use in applications where non-combustible materials are required, according to the National Construction Code Volume One, Clause C2D1 Deemed-to-Satisfy Provisions (6) (d).
Mosaic cladding is also suitable for Bushfire Attack Levels up to BAL-29 when constructed in accordance with Australian Standard AS3959.
